| The Applied Biosystems instruments
have traditionally used a vacuum generator and storage system
to supply vacuum to their valve blocks for lifting the diaphragms.
These vacuum systems are subject to failure if reagent is allowed
to get into them. The parts are not designed to stand up to
the harsh reagents used in Oligo & Peptide
